San Bernardino diocese grants Mass dispensation to those fearing deportation

On 8 July, H.E. Bishop Alberto Rojas of the Diocese of San Bernardino issued a decree granting dispensation from Sunday and holy‑day Mass for faithful who genuinely fear U.S. immigration enforcement raids. Parishioners are encouraged instead to pray, read scripture or watch Mass remotely.
