Coordinator, Secretary General’s Office & Member Relations

Giulia von Braunmühl is the Coordinator of the Secretary General’s Office and Member Relations.

An Italian-German national, Giulia von Braunmühl joined ICMC in 2013. Based in Geneva, she supports the Secretary General in coordinating the organization’s governance processes and in fostering collaboration within ICMC’s global network.

Having grown up in East Africa and later establishing her career in Europe, Giulia brings a global perspective and a deep understanding of migration and intercultural dialogue to her work. Her long-standing interest in migration stems from having witnessed its realities throughout her upbringing in Africa and from her own experience of mobility, further deepened during her Master’s research in a refugee camp in Ethiopia, near the Somali border.

She holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies from the University of Bradford (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Liaison Interpreting from the University of Bologna (Italy).
