What we do

At the end of 2015, there are well above 4,200,000 Syrians uprooted in Nord Africa and Middle East. More than half are children.

ICMC protects and serves vulnerable people on the move. Operationally, we respond to the needs of uprooted individuals and their communities, providing assistance and protection, and supporting them through the resettlement process. At policy level, we advocate for needs-first and rights-based responses to refugees and migrants in distress, working jointly with a variety of partners to contribute to political and practical solutions to refugee and migration issues. ICMC also voices the concerns of the Catholic Bishop Conferences and engages with several Church organizations to promote better protection for refugees and migrants worldwide.
