ICMC Warning on Social Media Groups Impersonating ICMC Resettlement Support Center (RSC TuME) Staff to Offer Information

ICMC wishes to warn the public about social media channels, groups or accounts falsely claiming to be affiliated with the ICMC Resettlement Support Center for Turkey and the Middle East (RSC TuME).

ICMC would like to emphasize the following:

• ICMC staff and interpreters will never contact you through social media platforms nor unofficial channels to request information, discuss resettlement, or offer special assistance.
• ICMC staff and interpreters do not provide information on the United States Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) or any other resettlement programs via social media, including Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp groups and Instagram.
• ICMC is not affiliated with any third-party social media channel, group, or account. The public should never trust accounts that claim to have privileged information on refugee resettlement cases managed by ICMC RSC TuME.

ICMC strongly cautions refugee applicants against trusting any individuals or social media accounts claiming to have influence at ICMC or special access to the USRAP. Be aware that such individuals or social media accounts do not have the ability to expedite cases, predict schedule dates, or help with USRAP activities in any other ways.

Always make sure that you receive information from an official source such as UNHCR, IOM or ICMC.

ICMC, ICMC Türkiye ve Orta Doğu Yeniden Yerleştirme Destek Merkezi (RSC TuME) ile ilişkili olduğunu iddia eden sosyal medya kanalları, grupları veya hesapları konusunda sizi uyarmak istemektedir.

ICMC aşağıdaki konuları vurgulamak ister:

ICMC çalışanları ve tercümanları; bilgi istemek, yeniden yerleştirme ile ilgili konuşmak veya özel yardım teklif etmek için sizinle asla sosyal medya platformları veya resmi olmayan kanallar aracılığıyla iletişime geçmeyecektir.

ICMC çalışanları ve tercümanları, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp grupları ve Instagram da dahil olmak üzere, herhangi bir sosyal medya aracılığıyla, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Mülteci Kabul Programı (USRAP) veya başka herhangi bir yeniden yerleştirme programı hakkında bilgi sağlamaz.

ICMC’nin herhangi bir üçüncü taraf sosyal medya kanalı, grubu veya hesabıyla bağlantısı yoktur. ICMC RSC TuME tarafından yürütülen mülteci yerleştirme dosyalarına ilişkin özel bilgilere sahip olduğunu iddia eden hesaplara asla güvenilmemelidir.

ICMC, mülteci başvuru sahiplerini, ICMC üzerinde bir etkisi olduğunu veya USRAP’a özel erişimi olduğunu iddia eden kişilere veya sosyal medya hesaplarına güvenmemeleri konusunda ciddi bir şekilde uyarmaktadır. Bu kişilerin veya sosyal medya hesaplarının, dosyaları hızlandırma, görüşme tarihlerini tahmin etme veya USRAP faaliyetleri konusunda başka şekillerde yardım sağlamalarının mümkün olmadığını unutmayın.

Her zaman UNHCR, IOM veya ICMC gibi resmi bir kaynaktan bilgi aldığınızdan emin olun.
