Protecting Child Survivors of Sexual & Gender-Based Violence
Gloria Julian Nakamya is an expert at preventing sexual and gender-based violence. She worked with ICMC’s Deployment Scheme. By creating a safe space for refugee children, she encourages them to open up about their history of sexual abuse and accept support. She establishes a care plan for them, provides counseling, and accompanies them for medical care when necessary.
