UK: Uphold the Human Dignity of Migrants in All Things

In response to plans to return asylum seekers to the Bibby Stockholm barge, the lead migration Bishop in England and Wales urged the government to “uphold the fundamental human dignity of each person who arrives on our shores.” Bishop Paul McAleenan echoed Pope Francis’s call for compassion.
