Delivered by ICMC, the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA), and the NGO Committee on Migration on 2 December 2016 during a meeting with Ambassador Juan José Gomez Camacho (Mexico) and Ambassador Jürg Lauber (Switzerland) at the UN in Geneva. The statement stresses the need to ensure that the two Global Compacts are complementary to and dialogue with each other, without contradicting or undermining each other.
