Gabriela Agatiello
Gabriela Agatiello serves as the Head of Programmes and Policy at ICMC Europe and the Share Network, where she spearheads efforts to create an inclusive multi-stakeholder network of national, regional and local actors and communities dedicated to developing safe pathways for refugees and supporting the inclusion of newcomers in Europe. At ICMC Europe and the Share Network, Gabriela oversees initiatives focused on migrant and refugee inclusion, the establishment of safe pathways to protection, and integration strategies for small localities and rural areas.
With extensive experience, Gabriela has successfully managed a number of EU-funded projects in migration and has a strong background in providing trauma-informed care for vulnerable populations. Before joining ICMC Europe, she contributed to EU policy and advocacy on social inclusion and labour rights through her roles at Eurodiaconia and PICUM.
Gabriela’s dedication to migrant and refugee issues extends beyond Europe. She has experience in the migration and settlement sector in Canada and has engaged in research and community development projects in Latin America.
She holds a master’s degree in political science and social work, as well as a post-graduate diploma in migration management and community development.
