Central America: Better Governmental Care for Migrants Needed

As the Church welcomes people on the move, Central American Bishops have urged governments in the region to step up their programs for migrants. The Episcopal assembly lamented the “ineffectiveness” of official efforts informed by “state policies that define migrants as a danger to security.”
