Started in 2016 in collaboration with the Human Resource Development Foundation (HRDF), the “Refugee Protection and Service Delivery Dialogue – Strengthening Partnerships to Respond to Syrian Refugee Needs” program aims at fostering the protection and integration of Syrian refugees in Turkey.
ICMC supports Syrian refugees as well as extremely vulnerable Jordanian families by providing access to adequate housing, including rental subsidies, and delivers emergency non-food items, such as hygiene packages for infants and young children. During the winter, ICMC distributes winter items to vulnerable families, such as heaters, gas cylinders, and vouchers for gas refills.
ICMC provides protection and support services to Syrians and Jordanians, especially women and children, through its Protection Center in Mafraq, an urban area in northern Jordan densely populated by refugees. The Center offers a range of educational and awareness-raising activities, as well as psychosocial support for Syrian refugee women, young girls and children who experience difficult living conditions in Jordan.
