LINK IT aims at facilitating the socio-economic integration of Syrian refugees resettled to the United Kingdom, Romania, Portugal and Germany through coordinated pre-departure and post-arrival activities.

Led by the UN Migration Agency (IOM), the pre-departure phase focuses on skills assessment to provide refugees with a clear head-start in the job market of their country of resettlement.

Until December 2016, ICMC supported the activities of Praksis’ Transit shelter on the island of Kos in Greece where assistance is provided to unaccompanied children fleeing conflicts and other difficult situations.

In December 2015, ICMC initiated a project in the Charsadda district of Pakistan which aims to provide Afghan refugees living in the Munda Camp with access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation, and enhanced awareness of hygiene practices. The project also includes strenghtening the capacity of local authorities to ensure the provision of sustainable water and sanitation.
