The Council

ICMC Council Meeting 2014Participants of the ICMC Council Meeting, Rome, May 2014. The Council is the highest body of ICMC. It elects the President, who chairs both the Council and Governing Committee meetings. The members of the ICMC Council are representatives of Catholic Episcopal Conferences worldwide and of national Catholic organizations concerned with migration and refugee issues.

The Council determines the programs and activities of the Commission and authorizes the implementation of the four-year strategic plan. It meets every four years and elects a Governing Committee from among its members. It reviews the Treasurer’s report and also examines and ratifies the Governing Committee’s decisions.
