Communications Intern

You will report to, and work closely with, the Head of Communications, and help her boost ICMC's profile and impact through more effective strategic communications to raise awareness and funds, and engage new and existing donors, members and partners.

You will work as a key member of the department of Communications, communicate/coordinate with ICMC staff running humanitarian, capacity-building and advocacy activities in the field (Middle East, Asia, Europe and United States), the development office in the United States, and our major partners (UNHCR, IOM and others) and donors (ECHO, BPRM, UNHCR…).

Most importantly, you will contribute to taking ICMC’s work to the next level and in improving the lives of many vulnerable refugees and migrants around the world.Read more

PROGRAM MANAGER

The International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) is an international operating non-governmental organisation serving and protecting uprooted people – refugees, internally displaced persons and migrants –regardless of faith, race, ethnicity or nationality. ICMC advocates for rights-based policies and durable solutions directly and through a worldwide network of member bishops conferences, and alongside government and non-governmental partners. For its projects in Syria, ICMC is recruiting a Program Manager to support national staff and local partner(s) with the implementation of projects providing health services, education, skills training and humanitarian assistance to Iraqi refugees, UNHCR-recognized refugees of other nationalities and vulnerable Syrians. The majority of the activities are implemented through a local implementing partner to whom ICMC provides technical support and organizational capacity building.Read more

Best Interest Determination of the Child Consultants

Through the ICMC-UNHCR Resettlement Deployment Scheme, ICMC recruits and deploys skilled resettlement and child protection experts to UNHCR field operations throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East to support UNHCR in identifying and referring refugees for resettlement and ensuring that the best interests of the child are represented. In this context, ICMC deploys child protection experts to UNHCR field operations to conduct Best Interest Determinations (BID) and/or Best Interest Assessments (BIA) for unaccompanied minors or separated refugee children included in resettlement submissions; to provide training and capacity building to internal and external partners; and develop standard operating procedures for the establishment of BID panels in the field.Read more

Resettlement Expert

Through the ICMC-UNHCR Resettlement Deployment Scheme, ICMC recruits and deploys skilled resettlement and resettlement experts (deployees) to UNHCR field operations throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East to support UNHCR in identifying and referring refugees for resettlement. The work of a resettlement expert/deployee involves a broad range of interviewing skills and case work activities including analysis of refugee claims; identification of protection needs; and working with survivors of violence and torture, women at risk, unaccompanied minors, and other highly vulnerable refugees.Read more
